In a bizarre collaboration that challenges usual expectations, the game developer has announced an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Disclosed
According to the authorized announcement, "A strange confrontation draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of banned practices and fearsome metamorphoses reverberate through the obscurity." The storyline features a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a secret cult.
The mission concentrates on "strange trials and a terrifying enemy" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Transformations
The preview features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser concludes with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Items and Extra Content
Players who accomplish the quest will receive an exclusive katana together with numerous artifacts secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Third Free Story Addition
This patch also brings the game's newest free story addition, titled "A Puzzlement."
