Former Physician Accused of Assault Charges Against Thirty-Eight Individuals in His Care
Prosecutors have announced that a ex- doctor stands accused of performing assaults involving 38 victims who were under his care.
Details of the Grave Allegations
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous sexual offences â some of which involve acts against children younger than 13 â between 2017 to 2021.
One senior prosecutor commented, âLegal teams have diligently worked to assist a thorough and intricate investigation, carefully reviewing the evidence to determine that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.â
Scope of the Investigation
These allegations come after what police called a âcomplex investigationâ into alleged assaults at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
Spencer is scheduled to appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on 20 January.

- 15 counts of assault.
- 17 counts of penetrative assault.
